Board Meeting – The Board held the monthly meeting on March 16, 2015 at the Bev Morton residence. Vice Chair Sittig called the meeting to order at 7:03 P.M. Those in attendance, Bob Sittig, Dayle Williamson, Sharron Goings, John Cederberg, Dick Dam, Cynthia Didion, Bev Morton, Daryl Swanson and Jenny Tricker. DeLoyd Larsen could not attend. 

Minutes: The minutes of the February 16, 2015 meeting were reviewed. There was a motion by Bev Morton and a second by Dick Dam to approve the minutes with corrections noted. Motion carried. 

Treasurer’s report – Annual Account – February expenditures were $1,576.19. Eighty-four percent of the annual dues have been received. Notice was provided to those that have not paid their dues as of the March 10, 2015 deadline. If you haven’t paid you annual dues, please do so this month! 

Townhouse Account – Expenditures for February were $8,668.86. There was a motion by Daryl Swanson and a second by Cynthia Didion to approve the February Treasurer’s report. Motion carried. The Board urges everyone to pay their monthly dues on a timely basis. 

Bills received prior to the March meeting amounted to $5,277.12. The townhouse bills were $4,070.49 and the annual account bills were $1,206.63. There was a motion by John Cederberg and a second by Daryl Swanson to authorize payment of the bills. Motion carried. 

Hospitality – Two townhomes were sold during the month. As soon as the new residents move in, Board members will provide the information package. 

Commons area – DeLoyd Larsen and Dayle Williamson marked trees for removal and pickup areas for brush during the month. There was a motion by Dayle Williamson and a second by Jenny Tricker to approve the bid from Christansen Tree Service in the amount of $1,650.00 for tree removal. Motion carried. Townhome members are reminded that trees and shrubs that need removal adjacent to their residence located on the bluegrass lawns are their responsibility. The grant request for cost-sharing for trees along Old Cheney Road will be acted on by the Lower Platte South NRD at their March meeting. 

Newsletters via e-mail – We are still hoping this will become a reality, we now have 89 out of 222 homes on our e-mail list. Several members have asked the board to keep moving toward furnishing information by e-mail. Garage Sale time – Friday, April 24th – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm – Saturday, April 25th – 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. A generic ad announcing the Edenton Annual Garage Sales will be placed in the Lincoln Journal-Star and on Craigslist, but individuals may also place their own personal ads if they desire. Maps will be provided to participating sales locations one or two days before the event to 

help shoppers find addresses and items they are looking for. Large signs will be placed at 70th and Glynoaks and 70th and Edenton a week before the event. A $5.00 dollar donation to cover costs of printing and advertising is asked from each sale participant. Make your check payable to the Edenton Homeowners’ Association, Inc., and mail or deliver to Bev Morton, 7400 Grand Oaks Drive, 68516 by Friday April 17. Include the following information with your payment – your home address – your contact phone number – your e-mail address – the days you plan to have the sale – a brief list of items you are selling. Topic of the Month – From City of Lincoln Sidewalk Polices – “Who is Responsible for Repairing Sidewalks?” “As a result of the November 1990 and May 1992 elections, sidewalk repair along the public street systems is the responsibility of the City of Lincoln. The Public Works and Utilities Department surveys designated areas and hires contractors to perform needed repairs.
