Board Meeting – The Board held the monthly meeting on April 20, 2015 at the Dayle Williamson residence. Chairman Larsen called the meeting to order at 7:10 P.M. Those in attendance, DeLoyd Larsen Bob Sittig, Dayle Williamson, Sharron Goings, John Cederberg, Dick Dam, Cynthia Didion, Bev Morton, Daryl Swanson and Jenny Tricker. 

Minutes: The minutes of the March 16, 2015 meeting were reviewed. There was a motion by Cynthia Didion and a second by Jenny Tricker to approve the minutes. Motion carried. 

Treasurer’s report – Annual Account – March expenditures were $1,211.63. Ninety-five percent of the annual dues have been received. Four homeowners have not paid and liens will be filed on their property. 

Townhouse Account – Expenditures for March were $4,070.49. There was a motion by Bev Morton and a second by Dick Dam to approve the March Treasurer’s report. Motion carried. Townhouse residences are urged to pay their monthly dues each month as they become due at the first of the month. 

Bills received prior to the April meeting amounted to $9,169.89. The townhouse bills were $7,947.28 and the annual account bills were $1,222.37. There was a motion by Daryl Swanson and a second by Bev Morton to authorize payment of the bills. Motion carried. 

Hospitality – Four townhomes were recently put on the market. Two were sold immediately and sales on the others are pending. 

Commons area – Tree removal was not completed during the month due to wet soil conditions. Two additional Scotch pines will need to be removed soon as the goal for removal of dead pines is in April. Christansen Tree Service will be doing the work. City officials have reported that the seeding along Old Cheney may not be completed until mid-May. The Edenton Association’s request for cost sharing for trees along Old Cheney has been approved by the Lower Platte Natural Resources District. The trees will be planted soon after seeding takes place. Water for the trees will be provided on a temporary fire hydrant hookup adjacent to the bike path. A permanent water source is not planned due to high cost. Watering the new seeding on the berm is not anticipated. The board also reviewed three bids for a privacy fence along the 600 foot property line. The discussion regarding the fence will be an item of discussion at the June Annual meeting. Planting more trees along curb lawns was also discussed. 

Lawn care – Daryl Swanson reported that lawn care and cleanup started on April 1 as required in the contract. As the irrigation season starts, mowing will take place on Thursdays. Watering will be completed on a twice a week schedule, with a six day schedule for the entire area. The system will not run on Thursdays. It is planned to have the irrigation system ready for operation by May 1, 2015. 

Finance Committee – The committee will meet at the Williamson residence on May 17th at 6:00 PM to prepare a budget proposal for 2016 to be presented at the June Annual meeting. 

Topic of the Month Edenton Homeowners Association Annual Meeting – Monday June 15, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the East Lincoln Christian Church. More details will follow in the May Newsletter. We urge members to attend as a number of important subjects will be discussed. The meeting will also be announced through our e-mail list. Garage Sales – Thirty residents will have sales on the garage sales weekend. 

Other Action – There was a motion by Daryl Swanson and a second by John Cederberg to provide a $100.00 contribution to the East Lincoln Christian Church for hosting the annual meeting. Motion carried. A discussion also followed about providing several small signs to be place in the area to inform residents about the annual meeting. The signs would be used on a yearly basis. Bev Morton will check on the cost of signs 

Dick Dam will host the May 18, 2015 meeting. The meeting was adjourned 9:10 PM.
